Limiting TANF Funds Time Limits on TANF Benefits Act This legislation cuts eligibility for TANF financial assistance, imposes several eligibility renewal requirements, and mandates several social services procedures regarding time limits. Under the stipulations of this act, TANF recipients have assistance cut after a certain period unless otherwise exempted by the specified hardship exceptions. A local social services department shall give notice to TANF recipients 60 days prior to the termination of benefits, along with the appropriate extension of benefits regulations and procedures for application. In short, a hungry child doesn''t understand that "time ran out". She keeps growing and developing, and if we neglect her now, the sociatel costs will be even greater in the future.
