Living Wage Mandate Preemption Act

This ALEC Act automatically repeals any local living wage mandates, ordinances or laws enacted by subdivisions of the state. It also prohibits subdivisions from enacting laws establishing living wage mandates on private businesses, including those businesses that have service contracts or receive financial assistance from such political subdivisions of state government.   

ALEC --  a group that strongly advocates local control -- must by using their moral compass as a fan after taking the low road with this preemptive policy.
