There are many ordinances on green building codes.

• Skylights using active and passive technologies installed in City buildings save an estimated 47,000 kilowatt-hours of electricity yearly
• The Leadership in Energy Efficiency Design (LEED)Silver Level is the design criteria for new municipal construction and remodels over 5,000 square feet.

Go for Green is a Canadian non-profit organization encouraging people to pursue healthy, outdoor physical activities while being good environmental citizens.
